This week I decided to try experimenting with dropping things other then water into the water. The top image is red wine and the bottom two are olive oil. I think that the oil created some interesting images with the way that the light reflects off of it. I really like in the bottom image on the right side of the little ripple how there are two streaks of red from were some of the wine was still in the cup I was using to hold the oil. I think that I am going to continue trying different substances and am going to go get some dye so that I can make the water different colors. If anyone has any ideas for things I should try dropping in let me know.

  1. I really like these :) But unfortunately even when I click on them and see them a little bigger they look grainy. Hopefully the new technique with the strobe and whatever else works out for you because they'd look really cool big. But I really like what you've accomplished so far. It's so cool.

I'm not sure what else you could drop into the water that would produce a different result though. I do really like the olive oil and the red wine. I know your project is specifically water and whatnot but would it be different if you dropped wine into wine or oil into oil or would that just look the same as water into water. You know? Hopefully that made sense, haha. I'm not sure what else has a different density/consistency. I think some of the ideas people in class came up with would be fun to try though - like jello or eggs, etc.
