Week 11

In class we were talking about how the fire images would look next to the water images from earlier this year, so I decided to post them together so that people could see how it looked. I personally think it is interesting how the two images play off of each other. I like how the fire and water are doing similar things in the two images.

Week 10

This is actually one of my favorite images from the semester. I think it came out really well, and that the whole image really works to highlight the grossness of one side of my face in a way that really makes you examine it.

Week 9

I really like the reflections in this picture and the way that they play off of the office scene they surround. I would love to find more moments like this were the reflections really enhance what is going on in the photograph and make it interesting.

Week 8

I went home this weekend, and forgot to convert a picture to Jpeg before I left so I don't actually have anything to post, but I wanted to come on and write something. I have 2 hours of free time in the park tommorow before I have to start working and I am planning on trying to get more images of people enjoying the park, similar to the picture of the little girl dressed up as a witch.

Week 7

I have been shotting at six flags and this is one of many images I am working through right now.

Week 6

This week I took both of these pictures so that I could explore shooting water somemore, and I really had fun doing it. Although I am deffinatly going to keep working on my Six Flags project I think I would also like to shoot more water, and keep playing with different shutter speeds to see the different kinds of images I can make. If anyone knows of any good places to shoot water in the area let me know.

week 5

Six Flags is starting this week which means that I can return to this project! I am very excited to continue exploring the park and different ways of photographing it.

Week 4

I choose to post this picture because it is one that I really like, and which I think is representative of one of the things I would like to start exploring more in my photos which is texture. I really like the contrast between the smooth water and the choppy water that it is running into.

Week 3

So this has been a crazy week for me, and I did not have time to convert one of my images to put up, so instead I am posting an image by William Eggleston that I really love. I would love to try to emmulate his work this semester. The angle of this picture, and the colors are really interesting to me. Week 2

I took this picture 9/5/09 when I went into Boston with some friends, I was struck by how pretty this was, and decided to take some pictures of it. I really like the reflections in the water, and would love to photograph more places like this, so if anyone has any ideas let me know :)

Week 1

This is a picture I took last year, during Fright Fest at Six Flags New England. I am posting it now, because I enjoyed working on the series of pictures I took during my time at Six Flags, and feel like I was just starting to figure out how I wanted these pictures to look when the season at Six Flags ended. Because of this I would like to continue to work on this project in October when Fright Fest starts again.
