Studio Week 2

These are some of the images I worked on this week. The top one is using the plastic wrap technique from last week and then using filters to changes the color of the light. I found these fun to do, but I was also a little fustrated because the flashlight I have was not as strong as I wold have liked, so some of the angels I tried to shot from were not working, so if anyone has a strong flashlight I could borrow I would really appreciate it.

The bottom picture was me trying out some of the water drop techniques I was reading about on line. I set up a fake little studio on my kitchen table with tin foil and a lamp and took a bunch of shots. I think they came out really well. There were a lot at first were I missed the drop, but by the end I got some cool ones. I found this technique to be really fun, because of the lack of control, shooting the falling water is like playing a game were I am trying to push the button at just the right time, so I think I am definitely going to try to take more like this.

  2. I understand what you mean about the flashlight - the light doesn't seem as strong, that's sad. I don't have a flashlight though. I do really like the bottom shot though. I really like this idea in general. I think it's so cool. And now that I'm assuming you didn't try this but did you try the burst mood? Where it takes lots of pictures successively? Sometimes it doesn't seem to focus as well but if you're having timing issues it may help. Maybe you've already tried it though... I don't know.
